traditional omegaverse: but! I like some of the more "traditional" or "regressive" tropes too, like sexism against omegas & omegas being reduced their capacity as breeding stock, bitching/studding so a non-A/O pairing can become an A/O, heat/rut cycles and their non/dub-con potential, alpha commands. I also love scenting, nesting, knotting, animalistic instincts & terminology ("pups" "bitch/dam" "stud") in non-shifterverse settings, imprinting.

What if Li Yu transmigrated as a merman from the beginning?

Or, a Everyone is a Merperson AU and Li Yu still transmigrates in as a lowly fish.

Canon is an omegaverse setting, and so is the version Li Yu transmigrated into, but he thought because he was transmigrated in as a fish that he was exempt. Whoops! That's a heat!

Genshin Impact

I apologize that I can't come close to covering all the potential pairing/freeform combinations. Trust that I chose what I did knowing that any combination was possible, and that I would be happy to receive any combination.

Diluc is captured in Snezhnaya & made a dehumanized human weapon by the Fatui. It's up to Kaeya (and Jean?) to save him.

Diluc, through leyline shenanigans, meets mirrorverse Kaeya who is actually a spy for the Abyss Order.

Valdemar Fusion--give all of these traumatized people a talking horse, I promise it will make the situation better. (For example, Kaeya will finally have a cavalry to captain.)

I don't know if having a magical horse companion would solve all of SJ's problems, but I think it would be fun.

Similarly, I don't know if having a dragon companion would solve all of SJ's problems (honestly, probably less so than the horse, given Pern's everything), but I think it would be fun.

Yanu leaves Solath and met Eyra while he is still a student in Labyrinth city. Or, Yanu meets Eyra before he goes away to Labyrinth city.

Eyra's family doesn't die but, For Reasons, he still must return to Solath where he meets Yanu. Now the whole family gets a front row seat to the trainwreck that is their courtship!

Dragonriders of Pern AU--and yes, Yanu is still a dragon.

Yanu gives into those dark, draconic urges and abducts Eyra, set either as a canon divergence or different first meeting.

Labyrinth City manages to acquire a living dragon; Eyra is the lucky academic chosen to study it.

Valdemar / The Last Herald Mage trilogy

BDSMverse Vanyel is still no more likely to take care of himself than normal verse. Whatever dynamic calls to you between them, but I feel like they'd make for a good Dominant/Switch pair.

Lore schmore, future books, whatever. What if Vanyel survived the end of Magic's Price and they got to grow old together? Do they get to have a happy ending? Or is there more whump to come?

What if Vanyel did get to be a bard and was one of Stefan's teachers at bardic?

Bard!Stefan/Paladin!Vanyel in the Forgotten Realms (or your D&D setting of choice). Or a modern AU, where Stefan vicariously flirts with Vanyel through their characters.
